City Engineer Jain advised that the Planning Commission had grant- <br /> ed use permit subject to City Engineer approval of driveway entrances. Councilmaxi Spillers <br /> was of the opinion service station should not be allo�ved on this location aixd that the City <br /> should take steps to acquire this property. Councilman Grangerts motion was amended to in- <br /> clude the reatriction that the City Engineer grant no driveway permits until after study <br /> of the problem by the Council. . In answer to Councilman Spillers question if' there was any <br /> � way to stop the service station, City Attorney advised that this could probably be done <br /> . _ by drive�ay elimination. .Any citizen could appeal the decision of the Planning Commission <br /> � _ <br /> gran�ing the use permit. Motion .carried. . <br /> DAVIES AIITO COMPANY REGARDING CANOPY AT REAR OF PRESENT BUILDING. Mr. Davies requested permis- <br /> sion to construct a canopy at the rear of his present building for the storage and to get <br /> ready new and used cars. Nbr. Davies states that his intention is to conatruct a permanent <br /> type building at a later date and agrees to remove the canopy at the request of the Council <br /> at any time after five years of its erection. The Building Inspector and Fire Chief have <br /> no ob�ections to the erection of this temporary structure providing the canopy is const- <br /> ructed subject to the approval of the departments. Mr. Davies Mas applied to the ,Planning <br /> Commission for a use permit to grade and pave the for�ar apartment house site at 110�} Jef- <br /> ferson Avenue, also for a permit to fence the property on the east side of Fr�nklin Street <br /> to the rear of the Richfield Station.
