He said the City contracts with a tree trimming company on an annual basis to do <br /> the regular tree trimming, block, to block. City Manager Everett said utility crews also <br /> trim trees around their lines. Director Ingram advised that the State is pressuring PG&E to <br /> accelerate and increase the effectiveness of its tree trimming, especially relating to its <br /> overhead power lines, and they have a huge backlog. <br /> Mayor Hartnett thanked staff for the report and for the preparations made and being made <br /> to help the people of Redwood City in the event of severe effects of El Nino. <br /> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 9.
