� REDWtX� <br /> ��: ������ C memun�ty <br /> Partnersh�p <br /> Exhibit A <br /> Governance Structure <br /> Redwood City 2020 uses a two-tiered governance model described below: <br /> RC 2020 Caordinating Council <br /> Role: Serves as the policy-making body for the collaborative, taking action after <br /> receiving information and recommendations form the cabinet and RC 202Q Executive <br /> Director. The Goordinating Council approves the appointment/termination of the <br /> Executive Director, approves the annual budget, approves program initiatives, approves <br /> monitoring and evaluation of program implementatiort and provides resources to sustain <br /> and grow the work of the collaborative. In addition, the Coordinating Council provides <br /> the forum in which issues impacting the community served by RC 2020 can be raised <br /> and addressed in eallaborative manner. <br /> Membership: Each RC 2020 partner organization (contributes at least $25,000 per <br /> year to support the collaborative) is entitled to have two members from the policy body <br /> of its organization serve on the Coordinating Council. These members should be <br /> elected or appointed directors ar have equivalent policy levef responsibility in the <br /> partner organization. <br /> Structure; The Coordinating Council will annualJy select fram its membership a Chair, <br /> who will be responsible for leading the meetings of the Coordinating Council, seruing as <br /> liaison with the Cabinet, and working with the Executive Director to develop meeting <br /> agendas. This position will rotate among partner organizations on an annual basis in <br /> July, the beginning of the fiscal. <br /> Meeting: The Coordinator Council will meet six (6) times annually, on the second <br /> Wednesday in February, April, June, August, and December, from 9:00 — 10:30 A.M. at <br /> the District Office of Redwood City School District. The Coordinating Council may <br /> choose to have one of these meetings designated as a "joint policy meeting" in whieh <br /> the full policy body of each partner agency will meet together. The Coordinating Council <br /> may choose to convene a meeting of the community and program partners that work <br /> with RG 2020 priority areas (Community Schools, Sequoia Teen Resource and <br /> REV: 08-3Q-13 MLG <br /> Page 6 of 9 <br /> ATTYIAGR.2013.150lMembership Agreement First 5 SMC 2013-14 <br />
