EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> Stulsaft Park is a 42 acre regional natural park in Redwood City. The up slope side <br /> along an existing access road, which serves park maintenance vehicles, fire trucks and <br /> hikers, has experienced erosion. This project will add a new retaining wall to mitigate <br /> the erosion and stabilize the steep slope. <br /> TASK 1 — PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br /> 1.1 Consultant will monitor the project budget and schedule, maintain close <br /> communication with the City project manager, and manage and supervise in-house <br /> staff. Consultant will provide monthly invoices with status reports to indicate current <br /> progress, next steps, and any upcoming potential issues of concem. <br /> 1.2 Consultant will follow a quality control process in conformance with our in-house <br /> Quality Control Manual and guided by our QA/QC manager. This will include <br /> keeping the project on schedule and budget, periodically checking on satisfaction <br /> with the project development process with the City, assuring the project is <br /> proceeding in accordance with the City's goals and priorities, and undertaking <br /> careful quality control reviews of the design and cost estimates at each major <br /> progress milestone. <br /> 1.3 Attend three meetings with the City staff for the design phase including project <br /> kick-off, 75% design review and 100% design review meetings. Separate meetings <br /> for bid and construction support are included under Task 5. Consultant will be <br /> responsible for preparation and distribution of ineeting agendas, conducting the <br /> meetings, and preparing meeting minutes. <br /> Deliverab/es: <br /> • Project schedule and up to two updates <br /> • Monthly invoice and progress reports <br /> • Quality control reviews <br /> • Agenda and minutes for up to three project meetings <br /> TASK 2—SURVEYING AND UTILITITIES RESEARCH <br /> 2.1 Consultant will coordinate with the City, PG&E, Comcast, AT&T, and other utility <br /> companies with potential facilities in the area to obtain utility mapping for the <br /> project limits and input this information into the base mapping. <br /> REV:02-21-14 VR <br /> Page 9 of 17 <br /> ATTY/AGR.2014.Q19/Mark Thomas&Company, Inc. <br />
