STAFF REPORTS <br /> A. Professional Construction Management and General Contractor (CM/GC) services for the <br /> Redwood Shores Fire Station and Maintenance Facility project. (100). <br /> REPORT: Public Works Services Director Ingram, November 25,1996 <br /> Director Ingram described the Project that will be built on two separate sites, and the <br /> benefits of the private sector approach that the CM/GC, Rudolph & Sletten, has brought to <br /> the project. Director Ingram advised that the project was still on schedule and slated to <br /> open in January of 1998. <br /> In response to Council questions, Director Ingram described how Rudolph & Sletten <br /> planned to notify and include neighbors in the progress of construction on both sites. <br /> Council Representative to SBSA Councilwoman La Berge described how timing is <br /> everything. When the City approached SBSA a few months ago proposing a joint use of <br /> '-' SBSA property for a City maintenance facility, SBSA was in the position to consider it, <br /> and has more recently approved it in concept. Councilman Claire reminded everyone <br /> that when the City approached SBSA two years ago for use of that site, SBSA was in the <br /> midst of its own long range planning and could not commit to a joint use project at that <br /> time. <br /> MIS: CLAIREIRUSKIN. TITLE READ. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12960 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT/GENERAL CONTRACTOR <br /> SERVICES - FIRE STATION AND MAINTENANCE FACILITY (Rudolph & Sletten, Inc.) <br /> ADOPTED BY UNANIMOUS ROLL CALL VOTE. <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> B. Council discussion and action on Economic Development Strategy presented by the <br /> Redwood City Redevelopment Agency and the Redwood City-San Mateo County <br /> Chamber of Commerce. Discussion topics include an Auto Strategy, Fee Waiversffax <br /> Rebates, Programmatic Assistance to Businesses, and Fonnulating a Downtown <br /> Association.
