The <br /> activities to be conducted by the PCA will be: <br /> • The Invitational Parade starting at 10:00 am. <br /> • The Arts & Crafts Festival from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. <br /> The following activities to be conducted by other organizations: <br /> • The annual Fun Run sponsored by the Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community <br /> Service Department will be organized and coordinated by the Redwood City Education <br /> Foundation(RCEF) and will utilize the parade route. <br /> The RCEF participation will include a post race expo to be held on Bradford between <br /> Arguello and Warren. The expo will provide a "cool down" area for runners and space <br /> for race sponsor information booths. The PCA will request portable toilets be placed in <br /> this area for use by the runners. RCEF will reimburse the PCA for the cost of the <br /> additional toilets. The PCA will also request appropriate barricades for street closures and <br /> the placement of portable toilets in parking spaces on Warren. <br /> As done in previous years, other groups conducting activities as part of the special events permit <br /> will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)that outlines the specific areas of their <br /> responsibility and liabilities and include the PCA as an additional insured. <br /> Event Details <br /> The Invitational Parade <br /> The annual Independence Day parade is produced for entertainment purposes and may include <br /> decorated floats, marching bands, drill teams,vintage and/or municipal vehicles, equestrian <br /> units, civic officials, invited guests,participating sponsors, and other entries as approved by the <br /> PCA. As the parade organizers,the PCA may, at their discretion, limit the types and number of <br /> entries in any category. <br /> Revised 4/10/2014 Page 1 of 6 <br />
