7.1.A. - Page 14 <br /> Handicap Viewing <br /> Handicap access parade viewing will be available on the north side of the <br /> intersection of Marshall and Jefferson. Vehicles with handicap placards displayed <br /> will be allowed to park on Jefferson between Bradford and Marshall. <br /> Special Parking for Announcer Trucks <br /> A few parking spaces on Main between Marshall and Middlefield, on Winslow <br /> between Broadway and Middlefield, and on Arguello between Marshall and <br /> Brewster will be reserved from 3:00 pm July 3r to 2:00 pm July 4th for the <br /> placement of parade announcer trucks. Barricades, cones, and caution tape will be <br /> used to identify these spaces. The PCA will provide a list of these parking spaces. <br /> • City Services Required <br /> Assist the PCA in the distribution of information to local residents and business <br /> operators about street closures related to the parade. <br /> Request through the County OES the use of steel crowd control barricades for traffic <br /> control and spectator safety. Setup barricades on both sides of Broadway between <br /> Winslow and Arguello, on the north and east sides of the Broadway/Winslow <br /> intersection, and on the north and east sides of the Marshall/Main intersection. <br /> Provide a lighted highway sign on the north side of the Broadway/Winslow <br /> intersection to advise parade entries they are about to enter a narrow street. <br /> Provide electrical connections from street lighting outlets to support Parade <br /> announcers on Main Street. <br /> Provide traffic cones and street barricades for Parade route, Lineup area, and other <br /> traffic diversion requirements as determined by the Police Department. The PCA will <br /> work with the Police Department and Public Works to provide a list of times, <br /> locations, and quantity of barricades needed for the Parade and Lineup area. <br /> Provide two (2) temporary"No Left Turn" signs for use on Whipple Ave. <br /> Provide two street sweepers to be available at approximately 10:00 AM to pick up <br /> horse droppings along the Parade Route and the designated horse lineup areas. <br /> For the safety of parade entries, remove the"pedestrian crossing" signs from the <br /> middle of the street on Main, Middlefield, and Winslow. <br /> The Arts & Crafts Festival <br /> The annual Arts and Crafts Festival will be held on July 4th between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The <br /> Festival may include: <br /> The sale of hand-crafted items offered by vendors selected by an independent <br /> coordinator. The sale of food and beverages offered by a combination of selected <br /> commercial vendors and local community service organizations.
