Exhibit A <br /> ZONES <br /> The gu.('('er Z,ov,e: <br /> This zone allows for the visual and physical separation between the vehicular travel lane and <br /> the pedestrian or café zone. <br /> • Temporary planters, bollards, etc. are subject to City review as described in these <br /> guidelines. <br /> • Permanent in-ground improvement may be granted by the City with a license <br /> agreement. <br /> • Improvements may be located within the Buffer Zone consistent with the following <br /> conditions: <br /> o Improvements are required to be located a minimum of 6" from the edge of curb. <br /> o For blocks with parallel parking, no flower boxes or planters may be placed in the <br /> Buffer Zone. <br /> o For the 2600 block: <br /> The Buffer Zone must be a minimum of 2 feet parallel to the edge of curb. <br /> o For the 2000-2500 blocks: <br /> The Buffer Zone must be a minimum of 3 feet parallel to the edge of curb <br /> The vehi,cu.Lar Z,ovte: <br /> This zone refers to the vehicular travel lane and the on-street parking adjacent to the edge <br /> of curb. No improvements are allowed in this zone. Crosswalks are considered within the <br /> Vehicular Zone and pedestrian access must extend to the Pedestrian Zone (see pg. 8). <br /> NOTE: The Café and Pedestrian Zones are interchangeable depending on the physical w <br /> configuration of the site.
