Dr. Alex Peros, 1817 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, stated he had appeared before the
Council on January 22, 1996, again requesting stop signs at the intersection of Madison
and Sapphire. He described another near collision at that intersection and advised
Council that he had not been contacted by staff.
City Manager Everett advised that the Madison and Sapphire intersection report was
scheduled for the February 12, 1996 Council Meeting.
MEMO 1130/96
Dr. Peros advised Council that the resurfacing of Madison Avenue was a waste of
taxpayers money as it was a very poor job. He distributed photos of the problems with
the repaved roadway. Dr. Peros asked that Madison Avenue, and other poorly repaved
streets in the City, be repaved at the contractor's expense.
Council referred this matter to staff.
'--- MEMO 1/30/96
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MINUTE BOOK NO. 54
Page No. 037
