7.1.A. - Page 3 <br /> Other Economic Changes <br /> SEIU: Changes to certification differential pay for skilled technical workers in building <br /> inspection and public works maintenance consistent with industry standards and <br /> operational needs. <br /> COA: Adjustment to salary range to account for total compensation when aligning <br /> management salaries with those of direct reports. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Direct staff to reopen negotiations with RCMEA, COA, and/or SEIU. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> The proposed changes are within the parameters established by the City Council. The <br /> new agreements with RCMEA, COA, SEIU are expected to result in a cumulative cost <br /> of approximately $3 million over three fiscal years. These costs are $383,000 below <br /> recent budget projections which included an estimated 3% annual cost of living increase <br /> and no retirement cost-sharing.
