Consultant shall screen, hire, pay, and super�ise qualified swimming coaches and I'ifeguards <br /> cert�ed by nationaf life-saving and/or swimming instructor associations to woric at City's Hoover <br /> Swimming Pool (in pool, on pool deck, and within the building) during all times that City swim <br /> programs are in operation at Hoover 5wimming Pool. <br /> 2. Consultant shall use its $10Q,000 Learning to Swim Grant funds for the purposes of providing <br /> swim instrucbon to Redwood City children at Hoover Swimming Pool who meet the demographic <br /> requirements of the grarrt. Service targets for Consultant include providirtg free learn to swim <br /> programs for up to 200 children, to 100 children for intro to swim team, and to 100 children for <br /> drop in programs each week for at least eight weeks during the summer. <br /> 3. Consultant shall be responsible for opening and closing the Hoaver Swimming Pool and shali <br /> take direction for operation of Hoover Swimming Pool from Parks Direcfor or his or her designee. <br /> 4. Consultant will use keys issued during the Term of the Agreement per direction of the Parks and <br /> Recreation Department, and will pay for any lost keys and/or rekeying of the Hoover Swimming <br /> Pool if deemed necessary to regain security of the facility. All keys issued to Consultant wiil be <br /> retumed at the termination of this Agreement. If keys are not returned Consultant will be charged <br /> for the costs incurred to City for replacement and/or rekeying. <br /> 5. � Consultant shall pay for any equipment repairs, pool repairs or facility repairs required due to � <br /> actions of Consultant. i <br /> 6. The hours of operation for Hoover Swimming Pool which shall be operated by Consultant are j <br /> 6:00 a.m.to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. � <br /> 7. Consultant shafl not access pool mechanical room unless for emergency shut-off purposes. ; <br /> Consultant shall notify City's Building Maintenance staff for all facilities-re�ated failures (including, � <br /> but not limited to,mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing)for instructions. � <br /> 8. Consultant agrees to strictly adhere to City's daily checklist and prevent checklist of items before i <br /> the Moover Swimming Pool is opened each day #or use. City shall provide checklists to <br /> Consultant. All records are to be main#ained on binders/clipboards in the basketroom at all times. <br /> CITY'S DUTIES: <br /> 1. City agrees to maiMain the Hoover Swimming Pool to meet water quality standards required for <br /> swimming. This includes the payment to PG&E for monthly service and any chemical casts. <br /> 2. City shall provide a telephone to Consultant for emergency use. <br /> I <br /> 3. Ci#y shall provide use of Fioover Swimming Pool to Consuftant in a clean and safe condition. <br /> ! <br /> 4. City agrees to altow Consultant to store pool equipment including paddles, buoys, timirtg clodcs, <br /> kickboards,fins and spin trainers at Hoover pool in an area agreed to by City.
