09/08/2014 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15364 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $550,000 WITHIN THE REDWOOD CITY PARK <br /> IMPACT FEE FUND FOR THE ACQUISITION OF 1606 <br /> MIDDLEFIELD ROAD AND ASSOCIATED CLOSING COSTS, <br /> STUDIES, RELOCATION PLANS AND DEMOLITION PLANS <br /> WHEREAS, a fund known as the Park Impact Fee Fund has been established; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has an opportunity to acquire property adjacent to Jardin de <br /> Ninos Park along Middlefield Road, an important pedestrian and vehicular entry into <br /> Downtown; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has identified the opportunity to landbank this property until <br /> such time as studies are completed to evaluate the potential use of the land for park <br /> purposes and determine its best use in meeting the City's General Plan goals for <br /> improving the quality of life for its citizens; and <br /> WHEREAS, City staff has requested that the City Council approve an <br /> appropriation in the amount of Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($550,000) from the <br /> Park Impact Fee Fund for the acquisition of 1606 Middlefield Road and associated <br /> closing costs, studies, relocation plans and demolition plans. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1.
