12/08/2014 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15383 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY DESIGNATING 802 EDGEWOOD ROAD AN <br /> HISTORIC LANDMARK <br /> WHEREAS, on May 8, 2014, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee <br /> considered and recommended that the single-family structure located at 802 <br /> Edgewood Road, Redwood City, California as legally described in Exhibit A, <br /> attached hereto, be designated an Historic Landmark; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee has determined <br /> that said structure is eligible for designation as an Historic Landmark according <br /> to the historic designation criteria established by the Redwood City Historic <br /> Preservation Ordinance (Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Code); and <br /> WHEREAS, on October 7, 2014, the Planning Commission held a duly <br /> noticed public hearing and considered public comments, the application and <br /> report from the applicant and owner of the subject property, the recommendation <br /> of the Historic Resources Advisory Committee, and staff reports; and <br /> WHEREAS, on October 7, 2014, the Planning Commission voted <br /> unanimously (6-0) to recommend that the City Council designate the subject <br /> structure an Historic Landmark; and <br /> WHEREAS, on December 8, 2014, the City Council held a duly noticed <br /> public hearing and considered public comments, the application and report from <br /> the applicant and owner of the subject property, the recommendation of the <br /> Historic Resources Advisory Committee and Planning Commission, and staff <br /> reports; and <br /> WHEREAS, the structure located at 802 Edgewood Road, Redwood City, <br /> California does meet the historic designation criteria established by the Redwood <br /> City Historic Preservation Ordinance as follows; and <br /> WHEREAS, It exemplifies or reflects special elements of the City's <br /> cultural, aesthetic or architectural history; and <br /> WHEREAS, It embodies distinctive characteristics of a style, type, period <br /> or method of construction, or is a valuable example of the use of indigenous <br /> materials or craftsmanship; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Redwood City and the <br /> residents therein, that said structure be designated an Historic Landmark to <br /> assist in the preservation of such property; and <br /> ATTY/RES0.3042/CC RE50 EDGEWOOD RD MILLS ACT RESO.#15383 <br /> REV:11-21-14 VR MUFF#612 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
