02/09/2015 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15390 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br /> FIRST RESTATED AND REVISED JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN MATEO COUNTY OFFICE OF <br /> EMERGENCY SERVICES ORGANIZATION <br /> WHEREAS, the most recent version of the San Mateo County Office of <br /> Emergency Service Organization Joint Powers Authority agreement (JPA) was entered <br /> into in 1997; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Emergency Services Council directed staff to review and revise <br /> the JPA, realizing that the entire landscape of the Homeland Security and Emergency <br /> Services field has drastically changed since 2001 and the agreement that governs how <br /> San Mateo County provides Emergency Services needs to reflect current laws, rules, <br /> directives, orders and trends; and <br /> WHEREAS, a working group made up of emergency management professionals <br /> from multiple agencies within San Mateo County was formed and drafted a new JPA <br /> Agreement. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1.
