06/08/2015 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15412 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN ON <br /> EASTBOUND CARLOS AVENUE AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH WEST <br /> OAKWOOD BOULEVARD <br /> WHEREAS, Section 2B.07, of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, <br /> states the use of Yield or Stop signs should be considered at locations where a road <br /> user, after stopping, cannot see conflicting traffic and is not able to reasonably safely <br /> negotiate the intersection unless conflicting cross traffic is also required to stop; and <br /> WHEREAS, City staff's investigation has confirmed the existence of this <br /> condition at the subject site; and <br /> WHEREAS, as the lead agency, City of Redwood City has determined that the <br /> installation of a stop sign on eastbound Carlos Avenue at its intersection with West <br /> Oakwood Boulevard meets the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) exemption <br /> criteria as set forth in Section 15301, ("Existing Facilities"). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1.
