� 12EG:yc:12/8/60-7 O R D I N A N C E N O. 988 ORDINANCE DISAPPROVING THE ANNE�ATION OF CER- TAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "EDGEWOOD ANNEXATION NO. 1-C" TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN A: FOLLOWS: WI�REAS, on the 2nd day of May, 1960, the Council of the City of Redwood City did pass and adopt Resolution No. 3067 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhab ited territory to the C ity of Redwood City, said territory being therein designated as "Edgewood Annexation No. 1-C," said resolution describ ing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said I�esolution No. 3067 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said resolution; and WHEREAS, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by pub lic owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, this Council has determined not to proceed with the annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of Section 35314 of the Government Code this Council does hereby disapprove the an- nexation of the territory described in the above mentioned Resolution No. 3067 to the City of Redwood City. * * * _ I ,
