} <br /> • ' REG:yc: 2/2/61-7 <br /> ORD INANCE NO. 995 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 181 OF ORDINANCE <br /> NO. 758, BEING THE REDWOOD CITY TRAFFIC ORDI- <br /> NANCE, ADOPTED FEBRIIARY 1, 1954 <br /> THE COIINCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 181 of Ordinance A7o. 758, entitled <br /> "An Ordinance Regulating Traffic on the Streets of Redwood <br /> City," adopted February 1, 1954, is hereby amended to read <br /> as followss <br /> "Section 181. Decrease of State Law Maximum Speed. <br /> It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering <br /> and traffic investigation that the speed permitted by <br /> State law outside of business and residential districts <br /> �s applicable upon the following streets is greater than <br /> is reasonable or safe under the conditions found to ex- <br /> ist upon such streets, and it is hereby declared that <br /> the prima facie speed limit shall be as herein set forth <br /> on those streets or parts of streets herein designated <br /> when signs are erected giving notice thereof: <br /> " (a) Harbor Boulevard. Declared Prima Facie <br /> Speed Limit--35 MPH. <br /> " (b) Industrial Way, between the northerly limits <br /> of the City of Redwood City and Whipple Avenue. Declared <br /> P=ima Facie Speed Limit--35 MPH. <br /> , " (c) Frontage Road on the south side of Bayshore <br /> Freeway, between Marsh Road and that certain alley situate <br /> 200 feet west of Second Avenue. Declared Prima Facie <br /> Speed Li.mit--35 MPH." <br /> SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective thirty :�30) <br /> days after its adoption. <br /> * � * <br />
