Sections 1 tc 6,000, inclusive, of the Revenue and Talcation Code, as preseatly enacted and as said sections may from time to time be aiaended or revised by the Legislature of the State of Californi.a, and to the extent that said sections are �ot ixicon- sisteat with the provisions of the Redwood City Charter, are hereby adopted to provide a system for the assessment, equalization, levy and collection of taxes for the City of Redwood City. SECTIC�T 2. For the purpose of this ordinance, the fcllcywiag words and phrases used in the Revenue and Ta�tion Cc>de shall have � e respective meaniags set out belaw unless the context requires otherwise: (a) "Board of Supervisors" shall mean "City Council." (b) "County" shall nrnean "City." (c) "Couaty .Board of Eqnalization" shall meaa the "City Council" when sitting as a City Board of Equalization. SECTION 3. The City Tax Collector shall be the redemptioa off icer. SECTION 4. Ordina�ce No. 327, entitled "An Ordinance Providing a System for the Assessment, Levy and Collectioa of all Taxes in Redwood City,p adopted July 20, 1931, is hereby repealed. SECTION 5. The pro�isions of Sections 1 through 6,0�0 of the Revenue and Taxation Code shall be applicable to all taxes which are a lien on property on the first Monday in March, 1961. Not- withstaading the provisions of Section 4, the provisions of Ordi- nance No. 327 shall be applicable to ta�s which became a lien on property on or before the first Moaday in March, 1960.
