""������'�'"� <br /> ORDINANCE APPROP�tIATING $1Z0,000 FROM THE UNBUDGETED <br /> UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE <br /> PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING A PLA.NNING SURVEY OF DOWNTOWN <br /> REDWOOD CITY <br /> WI�REAS, it is the intention of the Council of the City of <br /> Redwood City to apply to the State of California for urban planning <br /> assistance administered pursuant to the provisions of Article 7 <br /> of Chapter 1.5, Title 7, of the Government Code; and <br /> WF�R,EA�, it is necessary that the City of Redwood City con- <br /> tribute, in the form of either funds or technical assistance, <br /> one-third of the planning project' s total cost; and <br /> WI�REA�, the planning project contemplated by the City of <br /> Redwood City will cost 5ixty-five Thousand Six Hundred Dollars <br /> ($65,600.00) ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City's share of the project cost amounts to <br /> approximately Twenty-one Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-six Dollars <br /> ($21,866.00) , to be composed of a contribution of approximately <br /> Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) in the form of <br /> technical services and the balance in cash; and <br /> WI�REAS, the �tate of California requires the deposit of <br /> the monies payab le by the City as the City's share prior to the <br /> commencement of actual work; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> THE COUNCIL OF i2EDWOOD CITY 3�OES ORDAIN AS FOLLOW�: <br /> l. The sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) is hereby <br /> appropriated from the unbudgeted unappropriated balance of the <br /> General Fund for the purpose of acquiring a planning survey of <br /> downtown Redwood City. <br /> 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept on behalf <br /> of the City contributions made by individuals or groups for the <br />
