OiZDINANCE Rc:QUIRING THE �ECURING OF A USE PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ANY STRUCTU�E, OR THE ESTABLISH— MENT OF ANY USE, WITHIN A DESCRIBED AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, ADOPTED A� A TEMPORARY INTERIM , ZONING ORDINANCE, AND ADOPTED A� AN EME�2GENCY MEA5Ul2�, TO GO INTO EFFECT IMMEDIATELY WHEREA�, the Planning Department of the City of Redwood City has proposed a new comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for the City of Redwood City and has conducted studies relative to the zoning of the hereinafter described area; and WHEi�EAS, the Planning Commission has proposed a schedule of hearings on the proposed Zoning Ordinance, which schedule anticipates that the public hearings will be completed by March 20, 1963, and the ordinance transmitted to the City Council for hearing and adoption; and WI�REAS, it has come to the attention of this Council that there is certain development proposed within the hereinafter described area which is not compatible with the uses anticipated under the proposed Zoning Ordinance; NOW, THEREFOt2E; THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDATN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. Each of the facts recited above are found to be true and correct and a matter of public record. SECTION 2. This Council f inds that the protection of the public safety, health and welfare requires the adoption of this temporary interi.m Zoning Ordinance pending final action on the proposed Zoning Ordinance recommended by the Planning Depar.�tment and being reviewed by the Planning Commission. SECTION 3. No structure shall be constructed or structurally altered, and no use shall be established, within the hereinafter described area except upon the securing of a use permit therefor in accordance with Section 21, et seq., of Ordinance No. 600, the ,;�:, Redwood City Zoning Ordinance.
