ORAL COMMUNICATIONS A. Pat Rushing-Law, Spring Street, Redwood City, told the Council the Optimists Club's Sunflower Festival sales this year were quadruple those of last year. B. Joe Staudt, Broadway merchant, expressed his concerns about the annual Christmas lights for this year, and advised that his fellow merchants on the 2600 block of Broadway are working together to do something special for their block. Mr. Staudt told the Council he was tired of downtown bickering and wanted everyone to work together. C. Joe Steinfeld, Main Street merchant, suggested that the Council grant two festival permits next year, one in August and one in September, which would eliminate the bickering between the Downtown Association and the Merchants Group. D. Gladys Woodhams, Main Street merchant, expressed her anger at the Redwood City Almanac and its editor. E.
