11/16/2015 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 15457 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DESIGNATING 2302 HOPKINS AVENUE AN HISTORIC LANDMARK WHEREAS, on July 9, 2015, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee considered and recommended that the single-family structure located at 2302 Hopkins Avenue, Redwood City, California be designated an Historic Landmark; and WHEREAS, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee has determined that said structure is eligible for designation as an Historic Landmark according to the historic designation criteria established by the Redwood City Historic Preservation Ordinance (Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Code); and WHEREAS, on October 20, 2015, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing and considered public comments, the application and report from the applicant and owner of the subject property, the recommendation of the Historic Resources Advisory Committee, and staff reports; and WHEREAS, on October 20, 2015, the Planning Commission voted unanimously (5-0) to recommend that the City Council designate the subject structure an Historic Landmark; and WHEREAS, on November 16, 2015, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing and considered public comments, the application and report from the applicant and owner of the subject property, the recommendation of the Historic Resources Advisory Committee and Planning Commission, and staff reports; and WHEREAS, the structure located at 2302 Hopkins Avenue, Redwood City, California does meet the historic designation criteria established by the Redwood City Historic Preservation Ordinance as follows: It embodies distinctive characteristics of a style, type, period or method of construction, or is a valuable example of the use of indigenous materials or craftsmanship; and It is representative of the notable work of a builder, designer or architect; ATTY/RES0.3153/CC RESO 2302 HOPKINS HISTORIC LANDMARK RESO. #15457 REV:11-04-15 VR MUFF#612 Page 1 of 3
