12/16/2015 ORIGINAL ORDINANCE NO. 2418 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING SECTION 33A.15 OF THE REDWOOD CITY CODE TO CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF "SIDEWALK CAFE AREA" � WHEREAS, the City Council originally approved Chapter 33, Article II, Section 33A.15 of the Redwood City Code (hereinafter, "Section 33A.15") on June 27, 1977 and amended Section 33A.15 on November 29, 1993 and October 28, 2002; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the public interest to expand the definition of "Sidewalk Cafe Area" in Section 33A.15 to include all of the Downtown Precise Plan Area as described in Section i.1.2 of the City's Downtown Precise Plan; and WHEREAS, the proposed amendment is comprised of changes to the definition of Sidewalk Cafe Area and correction of typos. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. Section 2. The City Council hereby finds that the proposed Amendment to Section 33A.15 (the "AmendmenY') is in the public interest. The text of the Amendment is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. Section 3. The Amendment has been reviewed with respect to applicability of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") and the State CEQA Guidelines (California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Sections 15000 et seq.). The City Council hereby determines that the Amendment is exempt from CEQA pursuant to the categorical exemption for Minor Alterations in Land Use Limitations enumerated in California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15305. Section 4. The City Council of Redwood City hereby adopts the Amendment by adding the text shown in double underline (exam I�e) and deleting the text shown in strikeout (e�a�le), as provided in Exhibit A. Wording in brackets ([example]) is information only and is not to be included in the published ordinance. Section 5.
