ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
A. Robert Slusser, 541 Cringle Drive, expressed his concerns about the Redwood City Port's
autonomy and overall appearance of limited accountability. Mr. Slusser, member of the
Redwood City Park and Recreation Commission, acknowledged the Charter's provisions
regarding the Port and their historical perspective, and requested that the Council initiate
a formal review of the Charter and other controlling documents regarding the Port and the
Board of Port Commissioners. Mr. Slusser stated he and other concerned citizens believe
that the Port, as a valuable asset of the City and its growth, might not be returning what it
should to the citizens of Redwood City.
