CGM:sw:12/15/77 RESOLUTION NO. 7956 DEC 191971 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PROPERTY LINE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA (STATE LANDS COMMISSION) AND BENJAMIN H. SWIG RELATING TO PROPERTIES IN THE VICINITY OF MAIN STREET, BRADFORD STREET, AND REDWOOD CREEK, IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City was granted in trust, pursuant to Chapter 34 , Statutes of 1954 (1st Extra Session) , certain lands by virtue of said State' s sovereignty therein, in the vicinity of Main Street, Bradford Street, and Redwood Creek in the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, a boundary dispute with respect to private lands in the vicinity of the aforementioned lands held in trust by the City, has arisen between the State of California and Benjamin H. Swig as to the title to certain portions of real property which were granted by the State to the City in the aforementioned State land grant; and WHEREAS, the State and City have reviewed the title issues and the State has recommended to the City that the title contro- versy to the aforementioned lands be settled through an agreement exchanging lands between the State acting by and through its State Lands Commission, the City and Benjamin H. Swig; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain agreement entitled "Redwood Creek Exchange Agreement (Swig) " by and between the City of Redwood City, the State of California (State Lands Commission) , and Benjamin H. Swig, a copy of which agreement is presently on file in the office of the City Clerk to which reference is hereby made for full particulars concerning the terms and conditions thereof.
