� �R6C��;�'�� <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN <br /> SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, REDWOOD CITY 2020, AND CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY ACTING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR REDWOOD CITY 2020 <br /> FOR FISCAL YEAR 201,5-16 <br /> T ' MEMORAND F UND STANDI G ("MOU") is made and entered into as of <br /> the day o 201 , by and between SEQUOIA UNION HIGH <br /> SCH OL ISTRICT ("S H "), RE OOD CITY 2020 (a collaboration comprised of eight <br /> partners, including City of dwood, edwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union <br /> High School District, County of n Mateo [Health System and Human Services Agency], <br /> Sequoia Healthcare District, Jo W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — <br /> Stanford University, Kaiser Pe anente, and First 5 of San Mateo County) and CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY ("City") Acting as Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020. Collectively, SUHSD, <br /> Redwood City 2020, and City are hereinafter referred to as the "Parties." <br /> SUBJECT: Redwood City 2020's Partial Funding of the Director position at Sequoia <br /> High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center. <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. Redwood City 2020 is a community collaborative that coordinates the delivery of <br /> services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, <br /> an unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 is made up of eight <br /> partners, including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia <br /> Union High School District, County of San Mateo (Health System and Human Services Agency), <br /> Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — <br /> Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and First 5 of San Mateo County to provide leadership <br /> and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated approach to strengthen academic and social <br /> outcomes for children and youth living within the attendance area of the Redwood City School <br /> District and provide valuable resources to families so they can be successful primary caregivers <br /> to their children. <br /> B. City serves as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and as such contracts for <br /> services required by Redwood City 2020. <br /> C. Redwood City 2020 desires to collaborate with SUHSD to provide partial funding <br /> for the Director position at Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center, with a <br /> maximum contribution by Redwood City 2020 in the amount of$50,506.00. <br /> D. The Parties specifically acknowledge and agree that the Director of Sequoia High <br /> School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center is not an employee of the City of Redwood City or <br /> Redwood City 2020, and is not entitled to, and does not obtain, any rights, privileges or benefits <br /> as those conferred upon Redwood City employees. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br /> contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> ARTICLE I — BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES <br /> SUHSD seeks funding from Redwood City 2020 to partially fund the Director position at Sequoia <br /> High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center for the 2015-2016 school year.
