MINUTE ORDER <br />JOINT CITY COUNCIL / SUCCESSOR AGENCY BOARD, <br />PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY MEETING <br />February 22, 2016 <br />MO. 16-033 <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br />Date: February 24, 2016 <br />Attention: City Attorney <br />Community Development Director <br />**hard copy available upon request** <br />SUBJECT: Award of Contract — Recycled Water Project Main City Distribution <br />System Phase 2A — Bid Package 10, to extend recycled water to <br />Downtown Redwood City <br />AGENDA ITEM: 6.1 B (304) <br />Meeting of the Joint City Council/Successor Agency Board/Public Financing Authority of <br />Redwood City on February 22, 2016. <br />Present: Council Members Aguirre, Borgens, Gee, Howard by teleconference, Masur, Vice <br />Mayor Bain and Mayor Seybert. <br />M/S Gee/Aguirre to approve the Consent Calendar as presented. <br />By motion, approve, and authorize the City Manager to execute, the contract documents for <br />the Recycled Water Project Main City Distribution System Phase 2A - Bid Package 10; reject <br />the Non -Responsive Apparent Low Bid of $1,775,390.00 from Thompson Builders, Inc.; and <br />award the standard form contract 00520 to K.J. Woods Contractors, Inc. for their Responsive <br />and Responsible Second Low Bid of $1,838,000.00 and authorize the City Manager to <br />increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to 10% of the amount awarded, not to exceed <br />$2,021,800.00 <br />Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. <br />Silvia Vonderlinden <br />Municipal City Clerk <br />
