06/13/2016 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1130-367 <br /> ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY AMENDING ARTICLES 2, 5, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 25, 29, 30, 32, <br /> 36, 42, 43, 45, 46, 52, 53, 54, 55 AND 56 OF THE REDWOOD CITY <br /> ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> WHEREAS, this proposed Phase 2 Zoning Ordinance Amendment is comprised <br /> of the various parts: <br /> a) Permitted uses in the Commercial Neighborhood Zoning District — <br /> Section 13.2, 13.3 and 13.4 are amended to allow animal-related uses with <br /> a use permit and converted into table form; <br /> b) Massage and Acupuncture Clari�cations — Sections 2.2, 16.2, 29.2, <br /> 53.2, 54.2, and 55.2 are amended to bring the Zoning Ordinance into <br /> conformance with Municipal Code Chapter 18a (Regulation of Massage <br /> Establishments) and clarify that regulated massage is a personal service <br /> use; <br /> c) Arbors— Section 36.4 is amended to clarify the side setback for arbors and <br /> allowing more than four on commercially-zoned properties. <br /> d) Extending Permit Validation —Section 42.6, 43.6, 45.9, 46.11, 52.13, and <br /> 56.8 is amended to allow for a one-year extension process to permit <br /> duration of one year with approval by the Zoning Administrator. <br /> e) Miscellaneous Cleanup — Making small changes that correct terms and <br /> references. <br /> i. Sections 5.7 and 32.3 amended to clarify external side yard setbacks <br /> for second stories and garages in the R-1 and RH; <br /> ii. Section 43.2 is deleted, eliminating requirement for story poles <br /> delineating Variance requests; <br /> iii. Sections 30.5.B.2, 30.5.C.3 and 30.6 amended to clarify the parking <br /> requirement for offices and financial services and referencing <br /> Engineering Standards for parking lot dimensions. <br /> iv. Sections 15.4, 17.4, 17.13, 18.4, and 19.4 amended to clarify the <br /> term "drive-through" versus "drive-in." <br /> v. Section 25.4 amended to clarify that medical offices are permitted in <br /> the O Combining District. <br /> vi. Sections 2.2 (Offices definition), 18.10, 36.8 and 53.6 amended to <br /> fix incorrect references. <br /> WHEREAS, on April 5, 2016, the City of Redwood City Planning Commission <br /> recommended that the City Council adopt the Phase 2 Zoning Ordinance Amendment <br /> ATTY/ORD.426/AMENDING ZONING CODES ORD.N0.1130-367 <br /> REV:05-11-16 VR MUFF NO.602 <br /> Page 1 of 19 <br />
