ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> A. Regina Kip, 840 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, advised Council that the <br /> traffic barricades established on Saturday, December 12th for the <br /> Christmas Parade, had an extremely negative effect on downtown businesses <br /> and were unnecessary. Councilwoman Steinfeld advised there had been a <br /> miscommunication regarding the permit for the parade, described the state <br /> law mandating certain traffic controls, and advised that as the Council <br /> liaison to the downtown she had taken steps to prevent a similar <br /> situation from happening again. <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 2.
