RESOLUTION NO. 16-12 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE PLANNED COMMUNITY <br /> PERMITS, INCLUDING ALTERNATIVE PARKING REQUIREMENTS, <br /> AND TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF A <br /> STRUCTURED PARKING GARAGE AND EXTERIOR <br /> IMPROVEMENTS TO AN EXISTING MEDICAL CLINIC BUILDING AT <br /> 420-450 BROADWAY ROAD <br /> WHEREAS, on December 14, 2015, the Applicant, Stanford Health Care <br /> submitted an application for Planned Community Permits(PC2015-002 and PC2015-003) <br /> and a Tentative Parcel Map (TM2016-004) to construct a 3-story, 216,254 square foot <br /> structured parking garage and exterior improvements for an existing medical clinic <br /> building at 420-450 Broadway(the"Project")which is within the Stanford in Redwood City <br /> Precise Plan area; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City is <br /> empowered by the Subdivision Ordinance of the Redwood City Code to act <br /> upon applications for Tentative Parcel Maps and by the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance <br /> and the Stanford in Redwood City Precise Plan to act upon applications for Planned <br /> Community Permits; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 16, 2016, the Planning Commission conducted a duly- <br /> noticed public hearing, in accordance with all applicable requirements of the Subdivision <br /> Map Act, the Redwood City Code, State Planning and Zoning Law, the Redwood City <br /> Zoning Ordinance, and the Stanford in Redwood City Precise Plan, to consider approval <br /> of Planned Community Permit Applications PC2015-002 and PC2015-003 and <br /> Tentative Parcel Map Application TM2016-004, and received and considered oral and <br /> documentary evidence regarding the application; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered the request for an alternative <br /> parking requirement of 1,384 parking spaces and wishes to approve the request pursuant <br /> to Chapter II Section IV.G ("Parking Requirements") of the Stanford in Redwood City <br /> Precise Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, at the August 16, 2016 public hearing, the Planning Commission <br /> considered the previously certified Supplemental Environmental Impact Report for the <br /> Stanford Outpatient Center(State Clearinghouse#2005122081), the Final Environmental <br /> Impact Report for the Midpoint Technology Park (State Clearinghouse #96072019), and <br /> the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report for the Midpoint Technology Park <br /> (also state Clearinghouse #96072019), staff reports, oral and written, and testimony <br /> ATTY/RESO.0074/PC RESO STANFORD PARKING GARAGE <br /> REV:08-11-16 JS Page 1 of 17 <br />
