- ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES - <br /> IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW FINANCIAL <br /> REPORTING REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~'~ day of <br /> ~4~ 2001, and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, ("City"), and MAZE & <br />ASSOCIATES of Walnut Creek, California ("Consultant"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City prepares a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report <br />under the present reporting guidelines authorized by the Governmental <br />Accounting Standards Board ("GASB"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the GASB has recently issued Statement 34 ("GASB 34") <br />which will radically change the City's financial reporting format and the <br />accounting procedures necessary to support the new financial reporting format <br />beginning with fiscal year 2001-02; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City requires the professional instruction and guidance for <br />the implementation of GASB 34 (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires professional <br />consulting services; and <br /> <br />Agmt-437 1 <br />F:\shared\Redwood\Council <br />DES:djk <br />01/18/01 <br /> <br /> <br />
