RESOLUTION NO. P- 2333 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT FROM THE U.S. <br /> DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY UNDER THE PORT'S <br /> FY 2016 PORT SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, on or about April 13, 2016, the Port of Redwood City (the <br /> "Port") applied for a grant with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under <br /> the Port's FY 2016 Port Security Grant Program (the "Grant") ; and <br /> WHEREAS, Port's application (the "Application") for the Grant has been <br /> approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (the "Approval") in the <br /> sum of$37,344.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Grant requires that the Port contribute a cost match in <br /> the amount of $12,448.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Port has reviewed the Approval documents received from <br /> the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The City of Redwood City, acting by and through its Board of Port <br /> Commissioners, accepts the Grant in the amount of Thirty Seven Thousand <br /> Three Hundred Forty Four and No/100 Dollars ($37,344.00) from the U.S. <br /> Department of Homeland Security and the Port Executive Director (Port <br /> Manager), and/or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br /> PorUReso 1 <br /> DS <br /> 10/26/16 <br />
