<br />SUBJECT: An Ordinance adopting by reference the 2015 International Fire Code along with the
<br />2016 Edition of the California Fire Code; An Ordinance adopting by reference the 2016
<br />California Building, Residential, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Energy, Historical
<br />Building, Existing Building and Green Building Standards Codes, together with certain
<br />amendments, exceptions, modifications and additions thereto, and the 2015
<br />International Existing Property Maintenance Codes, and the 2015 Uniform Plumbing,
<br />Mechanical Codes; and An Ordinance amending Sections 9.7 and 9.15 of Chapter 9 of
<br />the Redwood City Municipal Code

<br />Meeting of the Joint City Council/Successor Agency Board/Public Financing Authority Meeting on November

<br />Present: Council Members, Aguirre, Borgens, Gee, Howard, Masur, Vice Mayor Bain and Mayor Seybert
<br />M/S Aguirre/Masur to approve all items on the Consent Calendar, with the exception of items 6.1.F and 6.1.G.
<br />Waive first reading and introduce ordinances adopting Fire and Building Codes:
<br />• An Ordinance Repealing Article II of Chapter 12 and Adopting a New Article II of Chapter 12, Adopting
<br />the 2015 International Fire Code along with 2016 Edition of the California Fire Code
<br />• An Ordinance Repealing Articles IV, VI, VII, VIII, IX and X of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Municipal
<br />Code and Adopting New Articles IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX and X of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City
<br />Municipal Code Adopting Title 24, Parts, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 11 of the California Code of
<br />Regulations, Namely the 2016 California Building, Residential Electrical Mechanical, Plumbing,
<br />Energy, Historical Building, Existing Building, and Green Building Standards, together with certain
<br />amendments, exceptions modifications and additions thereto, and the 2015 International Building,
<br />Residential, Existing Building, Property Maintenance, Uniform Plumbing and Uniform Mechanical
<br />Codes
<br />• An Ordinance amending Sections 9.7 and 9.15 of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Municipal Code
<br />2. Set a Public Hearing on the adoption of these ordinances for January 9, 2017, commencing at 7:00 p.m.
<br />or as soon thereafter as can be heard, in the Council Chambers of the City of Redwood City located at
<br />1017 Middlefied Road, Redwood City and direct staff to publish required notice
<br />3. Adopt a Resolution adopting findings of necessity and need for amendments, deletions and additions to
<br />the 2016 Fire and Building Standards Codes
<br />4. Review and Consider the Statement of Exemption determination under CEQA
<br />Motion carried unanimously by electronic vote.
