191 <br />Councilman Rosselli moved this matter be continued to June 20th, in view of fact <br />applicant not able to be present, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried. <br />(MINUTE ORDER #66-123) <br />Councilman Petersen moved to grant request of Raymond C. Colpien for extension of time <br />to make sidewalk correction to June 15, 1966, on property fronting on Whipple between <br />Industrial and Veterans Blvd. seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. <br />(MINUTE ORDER #66-124) <br />CLAIMS: Nos. 56637 to 56817, totaling $407,271.56, were approved on motion of Councilman <br />Rosselli, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: previously submitted to Council, reviewed as follows: <br />Request of Redwood City School District that Council <br />make emery effort to require owners of annexed <br />Edgewood Hills property to grant options on one or <br />two school sites to their school District, depending <br />on the density for which the area is finally zoned. <br />Staff asked to acknowledge communication and also place on Council Agenda in several <br />weeks for a further discussion June 20th. (Memo 6/7/66) <br />Acknowledgments from both Senator Thomas H. Kuchel and <br />Congressman J. Arthur Younger of Council's Resolution <br />requesting restoration of equivalent Federal Aid to <br />Highways for California. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adjourn meeting to June 8th, 1966, 7:30 p.m., Veterans <br />Memorial Building, for Budget Study Meeting, and commemorating memory of well known <br />community leader by adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 5063 COMMEMORATING THE MEMORY OF <br />CATHERINE A BRENNAN, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on <br />roll call vote. <br />Meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m. d (c,� �. e <br />HELEN C. MOORE, City Clerk <br />Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />June 8, 1966 7:30 P. M. <br />Veterans Memorial Building <br />Meeting called to order at 7:35 P. M. by Mayor Herkner. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Robert H. Bury, Floyd D. <br />Granger, Mary W. Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, John S. Rosselli, <br />Mayor Sidney D. Herkner, and City Clerk Helen C. Moore. Also noted present were <br />City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City Attorney Richard E. Gardella, Police Chief <br />William Faulstich, Assistant City Manager Henry V. Burget, and Auditor -Accountant <br />Jack Ference. <br />Discussion of the Budget commenced with a review of the non -departmental appropriations. <br />Councilman Bury requested that there be a continuing review of possible expanded <br />retirement benefits for employees. <br />The City's insurance program was discussed, and it was the consensus that Redwood City <br />is not large enough to go into a self-insurance program. The City Attorney, however, <br />advised that the bonds of the City Officials should be increased. <br />The next item discussed was that of cash reserves. No action was taken, it being deferred <br />to the close of the Budget studies. <br />
