DES.ek 2/26/68 <br />RE S OLUT I ON N O. sail <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING WEEDS AND RELATED MATTERS <br />TO BE A NUISANCE AND ORDERING THEIR REMOVAL <br />ORIGINAL <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLU.IS: <br />1. That this Council, upon evidence presented by the Super- <br />intendent of Streets and the City Manager, has determined that <br />weeds, rubbish, dirt and rank growths, as such items are defined <br />by Section 14.38 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, do <br />exist upon private property within those certain areas of the <br />City of Redwood City delineated upon Exhibit "A" attached hereto <br />and by this reference incorporated herein, and in and upon the <br />sidewalks, parkways, streets, avenues, roadways, boulevards, <br />highways and alleys likewise delineated and situate within the <br />City of Redwood City. <br />2. That this Council does hereby (a) declare such weeds, <br />rubbish, dirt and rank growths to be a public nuisance, (b) <br />direct that every.property owner, lessee or occupant of buildings, <br />grounds, or lots within aforesaid areas of the City of Redwood <br />City shall destroy or remove the same, and (c) declare that unless <br />said nuisance be abated without delay by the destruction or removal <br />of such weeds, rubbish, dirt and rank growths, the Council of the <br />City of Redwood City shall cause said nuisance to be abated and shall <br />cause the expense of such abatement to be assessed upon the lots <br />and lands from which, and/or in the front or rear of which, such <br />weeds shall have been destroyed or removed, in accordance with <br />and in the manner provided by Article IV (commencing at 914.38) <br />of Chapter 14 of the Code of the City of Redwood City. <br />3. That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of <br />Redwood City is hereby directed to give notice of 'the passage <br />of this resolution as provided for and in accordance with the <br />form of notice set forth in the above mentioned Article IV. <br />4.
