01/09/2017 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15553 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PUBLIC AGENCY <br />RETIREMENT SYSTEM (PARS) RETIREMENT ENHANCEMENT <br />PLAN <br />WHEREAS, in the December of 2002, the City Council adopted a Public Agency <br />Retirement System (PARS) Retirement Enhancement Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is eligible to be a member of the Public <br />Agency Retirement System (PARS) Trust, which has made available a Retirement <br />Enhancement Plan supplementing CalPERS and qualifying under the relevant section of <br />the Internal Revenue Code and the California Government Cost; and <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has the right to amend the plan from time to time; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the plan by establishing new <br />mandatory employee contributions, as set forth in Exhibit A. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br />incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />2. The City Council hereby appoints the City Manager, or his/her successor, <br />or his/her designee as the City's Plan Administrator for the Public Agency Retirement <br />System. <br />3. The City of Redwood City's PARS Administrator is hereby authorized to <br />execute the PARS legal and administrative service documents on behalf of the City of <br />ATTY/RESO.0128/CC RESO PARS PLAN AMENDMENT <br />REV: 12-22-16 RL <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />RESO.
