3/11/02 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14421 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR <br />ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE FEDERAL <br />SURPLUS PROPERTY DONATION PROGRAM AND <br />DESIGNATING CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES AS CITY <br />REPRESENTATIVES TO ACQUIRE SURPLUS FEDERAL <br />PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has acquired a Police Boat from the United <br />States Custom Service and said boat has been declared surplus property and reported <br />to the California Department of General Services for disposition through its Federal <br />Surplus Property Donation Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has the opportunity to take title to said boat under the <br />Federal Surplus Property Donation Program; and <br />WHEREAS, from time to time other Federal property may be declared surplus <br />and may be of value to the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, in order for the City of Redwood City to participate in said program, a <br />resolution must be adopted by the City Council which authorizes the application for <br />eligibility to participate in said program and which designates certain City employees as <br />its representatives. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br />F:Atty /Reso/R es o.1282 <br />
