<br /> MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> September 13. 2004 <br /> MO. 04-175 <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br />DATE: September 14, 2004 <br />Attention: City Attorney <br /> Finance Department <br />SUBJECT: Amend RCN Franchise Agreement <br />AGENDA ITEM: 6.4 C (801) <br />Joint Meeting of the City Council and Redevelopment Agency on September 13, <br />2004. <br />Present: Council Member Sain, Foust, Hartnett, Howard, Vice Mayor Pierce and <br />Mayor Ira <br />Absent: Council Member Ruskin <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered into the Minutes <br />MIS Hartnett/Howard To introduce an ordinance approving an amendment to the <br />franchise agreement with RCN Telecom Services for the primary purpose of amending <br />the language determining the franchise expiration date. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING <br />AN AMENDMENT OF THE FRANCHISE BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND RCN <br />TELECOM SERVICES, INC., FORMERLY RCN TELECOM SERVICES OF CALIFORNIA, INC. <br />TO CHANGE THE METHOD BY WHICH CONSTRUCTION COMPLIANCE IS REGULATED <br />AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE CREATION OF A MULTI JURISDICTIONAL FIBER NETWORK <br />WITHIN REDWOOD CITY AND NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES <br />The motion passed by a majority roll call vote by all those present. <br />Q~~~'~~ ,~. ~'-..~ ) <br />Patricia S.
