2/27/2017 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15564 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND <br />SALARY AND WAGE PLAN FOR EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY <br />SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION LOCAL 521 <br />WHEREAS, the City and Service Employees International Union Local 521 <br />(SEIU) have reached agreement on a Successor Memorandum of Understanding for <br />February 1, 2017 — January 31, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties agreed to amend the salary and wage plan by granting <br />a 3% cost -of -living adjustment effective February 6, 2017 and a 3% cost -of -living <br />adjustment effective February 5, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties have met and conferred on amendments to the City's <br />classification and salary plan to establish the classifications of Recreation Program <br />Coordinator/Special Events, Child Care Specialist, and Recreation and Community <br />Services Program Coordinator. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City's classification plan shall be amended to establish the <br />classifications of Recreation Program Coordinator/Special Events, Child Care <br />Specialist, and Recreation and Community Services Program Coordinator, as listed in <br />Exhibit A, and to abolish the classification of Recreation and Community Services <br />Program Coordinator 1/II. <br />2. The City's salary and wage plan for SEIU employees shall be amended <br />as set forth in Exhibit B. <br />3.
