<br />~ o RIG I N A L 11 /27/95 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2101 <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 TO <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO FIRE <br />PREVENTION; AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE "UNIFORM FIRE <br />CODE, 1994 EDITION", AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL <br />CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS AND THE WESTERN FIRE CHIEFS <br />ASSOCIATION <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Article II (commencing at 12.7) of Cliapter 12 of the Code of <br />Redwood City is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 2. Article II (commencing at 12.7) is hereby added to Chapter 12 of <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE II <br /> FIRE PREVENTION CODE <br />"Section 12.7. Adoption; Conflicts. <br />A. Pursuant to Sections 5002.1 et seq., of the California Government Code and <br />Section 15 of the Charter of the City, the 'Uniform Fire Code, 1994 Edition' <br />(including appendices divisions I, II, III, IV, V, VI-A, VI-B, VI-D, VI-E, VI-F, <br />and VI-G), as published by the International Conference of Building Officials <br />and the Western Fire Chiefs Association, Inc., is hereby adopted and shall <br />be in effect within the City to the same extent as set out in full herein, except <br />as expressly amended by the provisions of this Article. The term 'Fire Code' <br />as used hereinafter shall mean the foregoing adopted reference. <br />B. In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the Fire Code and the <br />provisions of this Article, the latter shall govern. <br />"Section 12.8. Definitions. <br />The following words or terms as used in the Fire Code and herein shall be <br />deemed to have the meanings respectively ascribed thereto: <br /> -1 <br />
