<br /> FXS:dft 1:./08/93 (017/11) <br /> o RIG I N A L 8/30/93 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2070 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE ADDING SECTIONS 9.47 - 9.51, INCLUSIVE, TO <br />ARTICLE IV OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AMENDING SPECIFIED SECTIONS OF THE <br />UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1991 EDITION, RELATING TO <br />ROFFING STANDARDS AND CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Article IV of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City <br />of Redwood City is hereby amended by adding sections 9.47, 9.48, <br />9.49, 9.50 and 9.51, to read as follows: <br />"Section 9.47. Section 1713(e)3. of the Building <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 'Section 1713(e)3. Roofing. Foam plastic <br />insulation meeting the requirements of Section <br />1713 (b) ,(c) and (d) may be used as part of a <br />roof-covering assembly; provided, that the <br />assembly with the foam plastic insulation is a <br />Class A or B roof-covering when tested in <br />accordance with D.B.C. Standard No. 32-7. Foam <br />plastic insulation which is a part of a Class A or <br />B roof covering assembly need not meet the <br />requirements of Section 1713(b), (c) and (d) ; <br />provided, that the assembly with the foam plastic <br />insulation satisfactorily passes the test for <br />insulated roof decks. <br /> Any roof covering installed in accordance <br />with this code and the manufacturer's instructions <br />may be applied over foam plastic insulation when <br />the foam is separated from the interior of the <br />building by plywood sheathing not less than 1/2 <br />- - <br />
