<br /> FXS:dft /29/90R (002/9) <br /> FXS:dft ~~/04/90R <br /> o RIG I N A L 1/7/91 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2032 <br /> --------- <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLE II OF <br />CHAPTER 12 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION; AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE <br />THE "UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1988 EDITION", AS PUBLISHED BY <br />THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS AND <br />THE WESTERN FIRE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Article II (commencing at 12.7) of Chapter 12 of <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 2. Article II (commencing at 12.7) is hereby added <br />to Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as <br />follows: <br /> "ARTICLE II <br /> FIRE PREVENTION CODE <br /> Section 12.7. Adoption; Conflicts. <br /> (a) Pursuant to Sections 50022.1, et seg., of the <br />California Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of <br />the City of Redwood City, the 'Uniform Fire Code, 1988 <br />Edition' (including Appendices Divisions I, II, III, and <br />IV) , as published by the International Conference of <br />Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs Association, <br />Inc. , is hereby adopted and shall be in effect within the <br />City of Redwood City to the same extent as if set out in <br />full herein, except as expressly amended by the provisions <br />of this article. The term 'Fire Code' as used hereinafter <br />shall mean the foregoing Code adopted by reference. <br /> (b) In the event of any conflict between the <br />provisions of the Fire Code and the provisions of this <br /> ._._.__._,~. <br />
