<br /> SWC:rb 7/14/83 <br /> ]WC: rb 8/16/83R <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1878 <br />SEP 19 1983 SEP 1 9 7983 <br /> --------- <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 20.62 AND 20.63 OF CHAPTER <br />20 OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO EARTH <br />HAULING ON CITY STREETS <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 20.62 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 20.62. Purpose. The purpose of this division <br />is to regulate earth hauling on city streets, as a result of <br />grading, excavating or fill operations, or combinations <br />thereof; and further, to establish user fees for earth <br />hauling, which has been found to be the single most <br />significant contributor to the premature deterioration of <br />streets within the city, the proceeds of which will be <br />designated for repair and maintenance of those streets <br />actually used for such earth-hauling activity. <br />SECTION 2. Section 20.63 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 20.63. 'Earth Hauling' Defined. For the <br />purpose of this division, 'earth hauling' shall be defined <br />as the transportation, on and upon city streets, of any <br />material resulting from or to be used in grading, excavating <br />or fill operations, or combinations thereof, excepting <br />therefrom aggregate base and asphalt concrete materials used <br />for roadway and parking area structural sections to be <br />placed above the sub-grade plane. <br /> I 878 <br /> .- -~.". ~ <br />
