IWC:djg-c 6/17/82 <br />,VC:djg-c 7/2/82R <br />O'?IGINAL <br />SEP 2 0 7982 <br />ORD I N A N C E NO. 1 866 <br />ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 20.62-20.82, INCLUSIVE, <br />DIVISION 2, OF ARTICLE VI OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND ADDING DIVISION 2, <br />SECTIONS 20.62-20.74, ESTABLISHING HAULING FEES <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Sections 20.62-20.82, inclusive, Division 2, <br />of Article VI of Chapter 20 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City, are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 2. Division 2 of Article VI of Chapter 20, is <br />hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read <br />as follows: <br />"Division 2. Limited Use of Streets by Permit; Fees <br />"Section 20.62. Purpose. The purpose of this <br />division is to regulate earth hauling on City streets, <br />which has been found to be the single most significant <br />contributor to the premature deterioration of streets <br />within the City; and further, to establish user fees <br />for earth hauling, the proceeds of which will be de- <br />signated for repair and maintenance of those streets <br />actually used for such earth hauling activity. <br />"Section 20.63. Earth Hauling Defined. For <br />the purpose of this division, earth hauling shall be <br />defined as the transportation of any earthen or non - <br />processed materials on and upon City streets. <br />"Section 20.64. Use by Vehicles Hauling Earth <br />Material Exceeding Three Tons. Notwithstanding <br />any other provisions of this code, vehicles hauling <br />earth material the gross weight, including load, of <br />
