O R D I N A N C E N 0. <br />1853 <br />--CGM:djg-c 11/3/81 <br />DES:djg-C 11/09/81R <br />ORIGINAL <br />N O V 2 3 1981 <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9.2 AND 9.5 OF, REPEALING <br />ARTICLES III, V, AND VI OF CHAPTER 9 OF, RENUMBERING <br />ARTICLE IV, VII, VIII, IX, AND X OF CHAPTER 9 OF, AND <br />ADDING ARTICLES IV AND V TO CHAPTER 9 OF, THE CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT <br />OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDING -AND STRUCTURES <br />IDI THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, INCLUDING THE ADOPTION BY <br />REFERENCE OF THE FOLLOWING CODES: THE "UNIFORM BUILDING <br />CODE, 1979 EDITION," AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL <br />CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS (FOURTH PRINTING), THE <br />"UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 1979 EDITION, STANDARDS," AS <br />PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING <br />OFFICIALS (SECOND PRINTING); AND THE "UNIFORM HOUSING <br />CODE, 1979 EDITION,°" AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL <br />CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS (FIRST PRINTING) <br />THIS COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 9.2 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 9.2 Copies of each publication adopted in <br />this chapter shall be kept on file in the office of the building <br />inspector and shall be there available for public inspection. <br />In addition, three copies of each publication adopted by sections <br />9.40, 9.60, 9.70, 9.80, and 9.110 are and shall be at all times <br />kept on file in the office of the city clerk and shall be <br />available for public inspection. The clerk shall maintain a <br />reasonable supply of copies thereof available for purchase by <br />the public at the actual cost thereof to the city." <br />SECTION 2. Section 9.5 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 9.5 For purpose of this article, the following <br />words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed <br />to them by this section: <br />Owner: The word "owner" shall mean and include the person <br />owning the fee interest in the building, structure or other real <br />or personal property to which reference is made, or said owner's, <br />agents, executors, admininstrators or guardians. <br />Public Nuisance: For the purposes of this article, the term <br />used in describing a public nuisance shall include, but shall not <br />1853 <br />
