CGM:bc 4/17/80 <br />O R D I N AN C E N O. 1822 JUL 141980 <br />ORDINANCE <br />SECTIONS <br />33.33 <br />RELATING TO AND33.38 INCREASEF ORIGINAL <br />IN DRIVERS' PERMIT FEES <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 33.33 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 33.33. It shall be unlawful for any person <br />to operate or drive a taxi cab in the City without having <br />first obtained written permission to do so from the Chief <br />of Police. To secure such permission, a written application <br />must be filed with the Chief of Police and accompanied by <br />a non refundable processing fee of Twenty Five and No/100 <br />Dollars ($25.00) to cover the costs of a photograph, permit <br />card, and fingerprinting. A permit card shall be issued by <br />the Chief of Police and shall be in possession of the permittee <br />during all working hours. Such permit card shall not be <br />transferable." <br />SECTION 2. Section 33.38 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 33.38. When issued, the driver's permit shall <br />be valid for one year from the date of issuance, unless the <br />same has been revoked for any of the causes set forth in <br />Section 33.34. The driver, in making application for a renewal <br />of his permit, shall follow the same procedure as set forth <br />in this article for making his original application, except <br />he shall not be required to be fingerprinted. He shall pay <br />a fee of Ten and No/100 Dollars ($10.00) for the issuance of <br />the renewal permit." <br />SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its <br />adoption. <br />1822 <br />
