RES0LUTI ON NO 2395 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF TUE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />PROPOSING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AND ORDERING THE SUBMISSION THEREOF TO <br />THE ELECTORS AT THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE <br />HELD IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ON APRIL 8, 1958 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City does <br />hereby propose that the following amendments be made to the <br />charter of the City of Redwood City and does hereby order that <br />such proposals shall be submitted to the electors at the general <br />municipal election to be held in the City of Redwood City on <br />Tuesday, April 80 1958. Said proposed amendments are as follows, <br />to wit: <br />CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSITION NO. 1 <br />Section 3-1/2 of the charter of the City of Redwood City <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />'Section 3_3/2. ACQUISITION AND DISPOSAL OF PROPERTY: <br />Public notice shall be given by publication in the <br />official newspaper once at least five (5) days prior to <br />the acquisition of any real property when the purchase <br />price to be paid by the city equals or exceeds the sum <br />of two thousand dollars ($2,000), unless such acquisition <br />is to be accomplished pursuant to the general laws of the <br />State by condemnation in eminent domain proceedings, or <br />unless such acquisition is necessary in connection with <br />public improvement proceedings accomplished pursuant <br />to law. <br />Any sale or lease of city owned property shall be <br />accomplished in accordance with the following procedure: <br />(a) Public notice of any proposed sale or <br />lease of city property shall be given at least once <br />a week for two weeks in the official newspaper. <br />
