<br /> FXS:dft 6/24/94 (043/36) <br /> 6/30/94R <br /> o RIG I N A L <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12237 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT WITH SEQUOIA YMCA OF THE MID PENINSULA <br /> FOR CHILDCARE EXPANSION AND ACCESSIBILITY PROGRAM <br /> (CDBG) <br /> WHEREAS, the YMCA of the Mid Peninsula Sequoia Branch <br /> ( "YMCA" ) conducts a childcare program for residents of the City <br /> of Redwood City (the "Program"); and <br /> WHEREAS, YMCA has requested financial assistance in order to <br /> provide certain facilities for the Program during the fiscal year <br /> commencing July 1, 1994, and ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> WHEREAS, the funds to be received by YMCA will be used to <br /> rehabilitate and expand its existing facility by YMCA; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> and desires to allocate to YMCA, the sum of Two Hundred Sixty <br /> Four Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Three and No/100 Dollars <br /> ($264,853.00) from its Community Development Block Grant funds <br /> for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br /> presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> approve said agreement and authorize its execution: <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Sequoia YMCA Childcare <br /> Expansion and Accessibility Project" (form dated 6/30/94R) , by <br /> and between the City of Redwood City and Sequoia YMCA Of The Mid <br /> - ---'-_..,----'----,.."'1--....-' <br />
