<br /> FXS:dft 6/24/94 (041/36) <br /> 6/30/94R <br /> o RIG I N A L <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12235 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH POPLAR CENTER TO UPGRADE FACILITIES <br /> (CDBG) <br /> WHEREAS, Poplar Center ("Contractor" ) provides education and <br />vocational programs to developmentally disabled persons for <br />residents of the City of Redwood City (the "program"); and <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br />order to provide certain facilities for the Program during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 1994, and ending June 30, 1995; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, the funds to be received by Contractor will be used <br />to upgrade facilities for persons with severe developmental <br />disabilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br />and desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Seven Thousand <br />and No/lOa Dollars ($7,000.00) from its Community Development <br />Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement to Provide <br />Poplar Center With Funds To Upgrade Its Facilities For Persons <br />With Severe Development Disabilities" (form dated Rev 5/5/94), by <br /> , ...~ .., -,.._- ,.._......""T-'..' <br />
