<br /> DES:djJ<' 06/16/94 (103/37) <br /> o RIG I N A L <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12224 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> SECOND AMENDED JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING THE <br /> ALCOHOL VIOLATION TEMPORARY AUTHORITY <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Resolution No. 11738, <br /> adopted April 27, 1992, this Council approved a Joint Powers <br /> Agreement Establishing the Alcohol Violation Temporary Authority; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11995, adopted June 7, <br /> 1993, this Council entered into a First Amended Joint Powers <br /> Agreement Establishing the Alcohol Violation Temporary Housing <br /> Authority; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Second Amended Joint Powers Agreement <br /> Establishing the Alcohol Violation Temporary Housing Authority <br /> (the "Second Amended Agreement" ) has been presented to, and <br /> reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, under the Second Amended Agreement the parties <br /> thereto shall continue to provide an alternative method of caring <br /> for certain persons accused of violations of law based on the use <br /> of alcohol in lieu of incarceration; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to continue its <br /> affiliation with the County of San Mateo, Town of Atherton, City <br /> of Belmont, City of Foster City, City of Half Moon Bay, City of <br /> Menlo Park, City of San Carlos and the City of San Mateo under <br /> the Second Amended Agreement; <br /> -,.---...- <br />
